Take the first step as a professional and work in the world of diving

For whom it is?

  • Diver Stress & Rescue certified people from 18 years old

  • People with 40 recorded dives, with a total of 25 hours

What will we do?

  • Day 1 (8h):

    • Theory: What is a Diving Guide? (2.5h)

    • Theory: Preparing for the Immersion (4h)

    • Practice: Evaluation of Physical State in Water (1.5h)

  • Day 2 (7h):

    • ​Theory: Performing the Immersion (3h)

    • Practice: Snorkeling Workshop (2h)

    • Practice: Stress & Rescue Diver Skills Workshop (2h)

  • Day 3 (8.5h):

    • Theory: Diving Emergencies (2h)

    • Practice: Open Water Diver Skills Workshop (4h)

    • Practice: Immersion Briefing (2.5h)

    • Individual counseling with each candidate to review and evaluate their progress

  • Day 4 (7.5h):

    • Practice: Guide Divers (5h)

    • Practice: Workshop on Guiding Deep and Night Dives (2.5h)

  • Day 5 (8.5h):

    • ​Theory: Your Career with SSI (2h)

    • Additional training time if necessary (3.5h)

    • Final Exam and Theory Review (2h)

    • Final Program and Performance Review (1h)

  • Day 6 (5h):

    • ​Theory: Diving Sciences Specialty

    • Diving Science Final Exam

What is included ?

  • Optimal ratio of 1 instructor for every 4 students for personalized and safe attention during the course

  • SSI Dive guide and diving science digital kit and digital certification cards

  • Registration as an SSI professional in active status upon completion of the course and having 60 dives

  • Complete diving equipment

What's the price?

  • 30.000 Mexican pesos

This course is the first professional level of diving and prepares you to supervise and guide other divers on recreational dives. It also enables you to assist instructors in training new divers. It takes a minimum of 6 days, but we recommend having at least two weeks or a month available to be able to stay to practice and gain experience at no extra cost.

With the SSI divemaster course you will learn how to lead groups of certified divers on their dives, advanced diving concepts, leadership techniques and rescue skills. The course takes place in a minimum of 6 days , in which you will combine theoretical sessions, practical sessions and real scenarios. In addition, we recommend that you stay with us after the course to continue practicing and gaining experience as a Divemaster at no extra cost . At the end of the course, you will obtain the Divemaster certificate and can register as an SSI professional. This course is the first step to access other professional levels as an Instructor.

 

Is it necessary to have done all your training with SSI to be an SSI divemaster?

 

If you have the Rescue certificate from another recognized certifier such as PADI, CMAS, BSAC, SDI or any other, you can do the Divemaster with SSI.
